It is recommended to use floor tape when using Multi-Shield on stairs. Although there is a slip resistant bottom, you may want to use floor tape to firmly secure in high traffic areas.

Note: Never use on newly laid floor covers, porous stone floors and earthenware slabs, because the rising humidity is prevented from escaping and may cause spots. New finishes on hardwood floors must be fully cured before protection with Multi Shield. Follow manufacturer's guidelines for your finish regarding complete curing times.
